學院簡介
中山大學馬克思主義學院主要承擔全校思想政治理論課教學、研究和馬克思主義理論學科建設。中山大學具有悠久的馬克思主義理論傳播和研究歷史。建校之初，李達、王亞南等著名的馬克思主義理論家就與中大結下不解之緣。新中國誕生以后，中山大學是全國率先開設馬克思主義理論課的院校之一。劉嶸、夏書章等著名教授都主講過馬克思主義理論課。改革開放以后，在鄭永廷、張孝宜、李萍、鐘明華、李輝等幾代領導和學者的帶領下，中山大學馬克思主義學院快速發展。1998年獲得馬克思主義理論與思想政治教育二級學科博士點，2006年獲批全國首批馬克思主義理論一級學科博士點，2007年獲得馬克思主義理論一級學科博士后流動站。2001年馬克思主義理論與思想政治教育學科被評為第一批國家重點學科，2007年思想政治教育學科被評為第二批國家重點學科，馬克思主義基本原理被評為國家重點培育學科。2007年在全國馬克思主義理論學科排名中位居第三，2012年并列第五。2017年獲批第二批全國重點馬克思主義學院。

年齡在35歲以下，博士畢業不超過兩年，具備較高的學術水平和較強的科研能力的海內外優秀博士。
