01學院介紹

清華大學環(huán)境學科可追溯至國立清華大學于1928年設(shè)立的市政工程系，1977年建立我國第一個環(huán)境工程專業(yè)，1984年批準組建獨立建制的環(huán)境工程系，1997年發(fā)展為環(huán)境科學與工程系，2011年成立環(huán)境學院。在我國環(huán)境工程學科奠基人陶葆楷先生和幾代清華環(huán)境人努力下，持續(xù)保持國內(nèi)領(lǐng)先優(yōu)勢，國際影響力不斷攀升，連續(xù)五年qs學科排名進入世界前十，成為環(huán)境領(lǐng)域重要的高層次人才培養(yǎng)基地和高水平科學研究中心。

近年來，環(huán)境學院牽頭建設(shè)區(qū)域與流域生態(tài)環(huán)境安全重點實驗室、空地一體環(huán)境感知與智能響應(yīng)研究平臺(區(qū)域復合污染控制、跨介質(zhì)大科學裝置)、清華蘇州環(huán)境創(chuàng)新研究院(高新科技產(chǎn)業(yè)化)等重要科研基地，為學院教師面向國家重大需求和世界前沿研究提供理想平臺。

為更好地適應(yīng)學科發(fā)展新形勢和人才培養(yǎng)新需求，為建設(shè)清潔美麗世界、推動構(gòu)建人類命運共同體貢獻更多中國智慧和中國方案，2024年學院新設(shè)環(huán)境健康教研所和環(huán)境可持續(xù)性教研所，現(xiàn)面向全球公開誠聘學科帶頭人。

03 job description

soe invites applications for full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at full professor level. the appointments are expected to begin on january, 2025 or thereafter.

the faculty search aligns with the strategic directions of the soe and recognition of the need for addressing critical societal challenges facing the environment and sustainability. applicants are expected to have demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and professional development. the successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an innovative and independent research with international reputation and external funding support. the candidates will also be involved in undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring to support the soe’s education mission.

applicants for full professor positions are expected to be global leaders in their respective fields. successful candidates will develop and lead internationally recognized research programs aligning with one or more of the soe’s strategic directions.

04 qualifications

candidates must have a phd in environmental science and engineering or a related field at date of hire.

fluent in chinese is not a prerequisite. all research, teaching, and service activities can be conducted in english.

we seek ideal candidates who have the commitment and capacity to stay at the research forefront or who are emerging as the most influential figures in their fields.
